Cross-border setup

Selling into another EU country, or into the UK after Brexit, is mostly a logistics and tax problem dressed as a marketing one. We set up the machinery so that a customer in Munich or Manchester gets the same experience as one in Amsterdam: a clear price, a kept promise, no surprise at the door.

What we set up

  • VAT: One-Stop Shop registration for EU sales, UK VAT and the duty-paid model where it pays, thresholds and invoicing rules.
  • Customs data: product classification, country of origin, values and descriptions on every parcel, so nothing stops at the border.
  • Delivery promise: which carrier, which service and which cut-off time you can honestly print on the product page for each country.
  • Returns from abroad: local return addresses and consolidation so that a return from Spain does not cost more than the product.

How we test it

Before launch we ship real orders to real addresses in each new country and follow them: transit time, customs handling, delivery experience, return. Launch happens when the test orders arrive the way the product page promises.

Duration

Eight to ten weeks for a first new country, faster for the following ones. Fixed fee per country.

Tell us where you want to sell next and we map the setup in the first call.
